I had the honor of moderating a fantastic panel at SXSW this year with leaders from Atlassian, Slack and Salesforce, and Upwork.

The top takeaways were:

Despite vast information, 98% of executives struggle to adopt AI and only 30% of workers are embracing it.

Freelancers (like me!) adopt AI twice as fast as full-time employees (due to less bureaucratic restrictions and a need for relevancy), and we help organizations get up to speed on the latest and greatest technology (because we use it!).

We need to start seeing AI as a partner and while AI may break silos its going to require trust and leadership to balance human and machine roles effectively–as well as a good dose of discernment.
