Consumer electronics innovation moves at a blistering speed, leaving auto manufacturers struggling to keep up. At the annual Detroit Auto Show, one company,  Johnson Controls, showcases what they think the future car cockpit could look like, complete with touch controls and buttonless selection.

While knobs and buttons may not be going the way of the dinosaurs just yet, maybe one day soon we will control our cars with our iPads.
