New Porsche 911 RSR set for 2017 IMSA and WEC campaign

It’s been a big week for Porsche at the LA Auto Show: The company opened its brand-new Porsche Experience Center in Carson, California, which will become the new home of Porsche’s North American Motorsport group; it expanded its 2017 Panamera line to include two new models at the top end and bottom end of its range; and it showed off a brand-new 911 RSR race car.

Getting a Taste of the Porsche Experience in LA

Porsche is opening its newest Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles this week in the hopes of bringing more than the avid car enthusiast into the German-sports-car fold. The 53-acre plot of land in Carson, California, just a few miles from LAX, is Porsche’s fifth Experience Center facility and only its second in the U.S. Porsche hopes the new Experience Center will offer fans of the brand, potential customers and their families, and businesses a place to experience the “core of the Porsche brand.”
